Weather
We may be the only charter yacht in NY Harbor that allows YOU, not the captain, to postpone your charter due to weather. If you see a weather forecast that you don't like, call us to postpone. We want you to have a happy and comfortable sail. We're not going to torture you. For other yachts, the captain makes the call and you may be sailing in showers, rain or heavy winds and seas.

Special Occasions
Prelude is THE special occasions charter yacht in the harbor. We may have had more private engagements or marriage proposals on the Prelude than any other yacht in the world. Anniversaries, weddings, graduations and birthdays have been celebrated with up to six persons.

Comfort
Most yachts have you sit in the cockpit with the captain. On Prelude, a group of six can sit on seats and a wicker settee on the fantail or you can move the seats anywhere on the decks. You get cushions instead of hard fibreglas. |

Cuisine
Why celebrate your engagement, birthday or anniversary with deli take-out food? Let Regina, our on board chef trained at the Culinary Institute of America, the Institute of Culinary Education and the Windows on the World Wine School, customize your menu to your specifications.

Beauty
Although she's a modern day yacht, she's built along traditional lines with a bowsprit, clipper bow, teak brightwork and brass and bronze fittings. If in doubt as to why it makes a difference, make appointments to see Prelude and the other yachts and then compare. You want the best possible setting for your special occasion.

Flexibility
We can provide the catering and beverages or you can bring your own favorite wines or you can bring your own catering and beverages.

Experience
We've chartered Prelude in NY Harbor, the East Coast and the Caribbean. We live aboard so the last thing we're going to do is let Prelude go out with the crew-for-a-day. You're going to get us with 28 years of chartering experience on the Prelude.

Privacy
You and your guest(s) are the only persons on board. Prelude is never shared and never does public sails.
